Therapy
A space to be heard, understood and supported.
Life can be challenging, and sometimes we all need a space to pause, reflect and move forward.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, parenting challenges, life transitions, emotional wellbeing concerns or relationship difficulties, therapy provides an opportunity to explore what matters most and create meaningful change.
Every person's story is unique.
Therapy is not about having all the answers.
It's about creating a safe space where curiosity is welcomed, challenges can be explored, insight can grow and meaningful change can emerge.

Medicare
Some clients may be eligible to receive Medicare rebates for psychology sessions through a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
A Mental Health Treatment Plan is usually prepared by a GP when psychological support is considered appropriate. Eligible clients may also be referred by a psychiatrist or paediatrician in certain circumstances. If eligible, Medicare may provide rebates for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year.
A referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan must be in place before rebates can be claimed.
Medicare rebates do not usually cover the full session fee, meaning there may be an out-of-pocket cost. Clients are welcome to attend privately without a referral, however Medicare rebates will not apply.
If you're unsure whether a Mental Health Treatment Plan is right for you, we recommend speaking with your GP or booking a Connection Call to discuss your options.
Other referral & funding pathways
Many clients access support through pathways other than Medicare.
Depending on your circumstances, psychology services may be funded through:
- Private health insurance
- Self-referral (private paying)
- NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed)
- WorkSafe
- TAC
- DVA
- Other approved funding pathways
Availability and funding arrangements vary depending on individual circumstances, claim status and service requirements.
If you're unsure which pathway may be available to you, please get in touch. We're happy to discuss your situation and help you understand the options that may apply.
Fees & policies
The following fees apply to standard appointments.
Individual Therapy (50 minutes)
In consulting rooms or via telehealth.
Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan. Medicare rebate amounts are subject to change. If you're unsure whether you may be eligible, we encourage you to contact us or speak with your GP regarding Mental Health Treatment Plan eligibility and current rebate information.
Family Therapy (60 minutes)
Please note that family therapy sessions are not eligible for Medicare rebates.

Growing together
An area we're growing.
While community partnerships, programs and initiatives remain central to Connecting Circles, the therapy arm of the practice is currently an area of growth.
As Connecting Circles continues to evolve, we hope to expand the ways support can be accessed and delivered, including through our therapy services. Areas of growth may include:
- Expanded face-to-face services in Melbourne's south-east
- Additional assessment services
- Expanded relationship counselling services
- Expanded onsite group programs and workshops
- Additional clinicians and areas of expertise
If you're seeking support in one of these areas, we encourage you to get in touch. Not every opportunity fits neatly within a predefined service. Sometimes support begins with a conversation, a shared idea or an emerging community need. Even where services are still evolving, we are always open to exploring what may be possible through consultation, collaboration or tailored initiatives.
